I’m Joellen Fritchen and I’m so glad you are visiting my blog.

I started beading over a decade ago. It all started quite innocently and has now turned into something of a career. Like most beaders, I started stitching (connecting itsy bitsy beads together with thread) and eventually complimented the stitched components with metals and glass. My passion the last 8 years has been bead embroidery and I’m especially fond of big bracelets.

I occasionally wander away from the comfy beading chair and over to my messy work bench to make earrings from copper and steel wire. Repurposing bits and pieces of misfit jewelry is especially fun when the metals come out.

Besides creating pieces for special customers, I enjoy teaching bead embroidery and stitching techniques to anyone willing to create with needle and thread.

  1. Hi Joellen,

I’m so glad to have met you at B & B last week! Your blog and sites are wonderful and although I don’t do the bead weaving thing, I can appreciate it and your work.
